Anne, I saw you guys out racing on Sunday! I was on a Catalina 42 called 'Salt Water Taffy'. It was a tough race with such light winds. Too bad they postponed from Saturday. I was happy to see you guys finished the race and didnt bail like so many boats did.

Hi Lola,

Wow, I think my comment was misunderstood.
I do not have a forum for Advice-job on a big ship.
I was looking for advice for a job I am thinking about accepting.
Let me know, if I posted incorrectly?

Cheers and happy sailing adventures.

I saw bobbi's comment of an offer to help and I ceratinly echo that! If you are on your boat - or car? - in the Upper Keys please contact me - I would be happy to assist in any way. I actually could offer you a slip if you need it! Women are wonderful, aren't we? Always so helpful and encouraging....and you are right, Melissa, we rock!

Some good female boaters news: a friend of mine is creating an all-female crew for an upcoming race in the lower Chesapeake Bay, the Round the Lights Race, so named because we circle the two major lighthouses down here, Thimble Shoals and Middle Ground.

We've been practicing last week and this, in all sorts of weather, winds up to 40 knots, rain, even no wind at all (that was a pain - good thing when practicing you can use a motor!).

The skipper called me today to say that the local paper is going to be featuring us in a story about the race this week. I'll post the link when it comes out.

"Auto ascending setup is an interesting idea, though it takes a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Once it's dialed in, it actually works quite well."
