Greetings from a former Florida sailor. Are there any members of Sailing Singles of South Florida out there? I was a member back a few years.

Water is 87 degrees, temps 92,humidity at 7am 100%.
I have done at least 6 trips this summer (at least 3 days each) and so tired of sleeping in hot clammy conditions and ready for a good strong cold front from the North!!!
Ya I am getting to old and like the AC but I still get out there and find myself for relaxing and free from land living.
How many Floridians agree with me?

So far the good news is most of Florida so far has escaped the hurricane season so far.. Congrats to everyone! Keep those prayers, voodoo dances, Indian dances or what every you do to keep those destructive winds away.. Not sure yet when to put my boat back together again.

Welcome Ed, looks like the 10th year celebration of the WCTSS is post pone due to the Weather.
Since you will be missing the Oct. Club trip to Cayo Costa I probably wont meet up with you until the Dec. trip to Homestead.

Hello all,
I live north of Tampa, pull my Tri all around the state, sail whenever/wherever. Going out tomorrow on Lake Tarpon in Tarpon Springs. Should be good winds with the afteraffects of Faye still kicking around. The New Years sail out of Homestead is always fun. Launch 29 Dec and pull out 1 or 2 Jan. Usually 6 - 10 WCTSS members but everyone is welcome to sail along.

Hello everyone. My name is Joni and I live in Largo, Fl. I am enjoying just the cloudiness and breezes of Fay, a nice break in the intense sun and heat we had been experiencing here. I do not own a boat but enjoy sailing with my friends on their boats.

"Auto ascending setup is an interesting idea, though it takes a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Once it's dialed in, it actually works quite well."

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
