ok. we fixing an engine used to  be named    new blue. this engine  has had a big problem caused by  an injector pump.  we also had  lift pump and    tranny   oil  heat exhcanger    repaird and rebuilt.upon  installation  these nice newly rebuilt items we found a nother problem, probably  caused also by the    runaway situation  experienced in  june.      the  gremlins  decided to seize and freeze  engine, so we using  oil and penetrating oil.then we wait a few days and   try to  turn engine    by using a wrench   to turn the   crankshaft  bolt.  while doing the  well worn  woodruff key   sheared  and noo go .. so we   look for  a  woodruff key     so we can finish   rebuilding this   newly  renamed  engine i now ka lunk.we still intend on    exiting this marina in december under own power.   lol....thanyou…See More

there i sa bit of my engine that has been missing for over 2000 miles--and i donot remember ever seeing it in place.  isnt something one would look for--is the  plug or cap to the  hole which is used to  adjust the engine.  could be for timing adjustments--i never had to have timing adjusted so i didnt think about the problem being something so simple.

this is a small  plug or cap that covers a   little adjustment port on the…

Resealing handrails on Oday 30

I'm going to attempt to reseal my handrails on our 84' Oday 30.  I noticed there are screw holes (teak plugs) both on the topside and down in the salon.  Does anyone know if both screws need to be removed to reseal or just the topside screw?See More
