Chain plate nuts were hidden.  The hull was built then the chain plates attached.  Next came a 1" layer of foam and a couple of layers of glass which entombed the chain plate nuts.  To access these we drilled oversize holes in the inner skin and foam.  Then epoxied sections of glass tubing.  Several of the bolts were crevice corroded and twisted apart during their…

Hi Doug.

Good to hear that you are still with the boat, even though it is on the hard.

Finlandia is currently in St. Marys, GA.  Just moved her up there a couple of weeks ago. She and I spent the winter in Titusville, FL.  I will be heading back down there in a couple of weeks to move her further north and should be back at Point Marina at Whortonsville by next month.  Let's get together and go sailing!
