I keep a Columbia 8.7 in Urbanna, and will be there for the Oyster Festival. Urbanna is on the Rappahannock River about 12 miles from the Bay. By land, I64 to 33E, to 17N to 33E and turn left at the sign. Can't miss it.Just Google Urbanna Oyster Festival. Second Weekend of November. Plenty of food, music, good times. Room to anchor in the harbor if you get there by Thursday, or early Friday. I'm at Urbanna Harbor Yacht Club docks, #15. Stop by.

I sail a Catalina C-25 out of Cadle Creek Marina on Cadle Creek. The Bay is a jewel that could occupy a sailor their entire life. Come from a sailing family. Great Grandfather piloted four masters out of Baltimore to the Caribean and South America - grandfather sailed working Skipjacks on the Bay in the 1920's. Let's talk about ports and gunkholes on the bay.

I am a transplant from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where I sailed Lake Superior. Owned my own boat but had to sell when I came east. I have met some really nice people who sail the Chesapeake and look forward to meeting new friends. I am used to sailing in cold (brrrrrrrrr) weather so anyone needing some crew that still has their boat "in" --- let me know.

"Auto ascending setup is an interesting idea, though it takes a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Once it's dialed in, it actually works quite well."

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
