"Not for me at my age. Thanks for the suggestion. However, I finalized by ordering the Brion Toss, solid construction, significant redundancy with the safety aspects, a well conceived and manufactured product. The only issue is the salty price, but I…"

Hi, I am looking for the best alternative to climb the sail mast. My final list puts ATN mastclimber and the Brion Toss harness. I see the ATN practical in that one could auto ascend. On the other hand I understand when close to the top the metal parts gets to close with the mast causing some minor scratches to the mast. On Brion's it looks really nice, does anybody have experience in setting up a device for auto ascending. What sort of arrangement would that be? ThanksSee More

James Taylor replied to GaryG's discussion Cockpit latches problem in the group Beneteau 40 & 43
"B43 #19 has had similar issues but easily resolved by; 1.) adjusting latchhead to proper position then; 2.) tightening backing nut.  Have not had to do this with middle seat but there is a backing nut on latch. You have to be a contortionist…"

"I have no idea! Maybe you can call Beneteau with your manufacture's Identification Number and Beneteau can give you the hull number."

"Rafa I checked and the Beneteau 43 is a Oceanis series boat in the US. The B43 on Beneteau site is the Beneteau 43 Oceanis series boat. Give them a call for further confirmation. I think the first year is 2008 and last year is 2011 for B43. All the…"
