I agree with Charlotte, this is a really great idea for a group Lola! I will be sure to share it with all of my friends!!!

I am thinking of going for my Captain's license-the 6 pack. Has anyone done that? Let me know if you have any advice. I would like to do it online.

Wow! What a great group idea...too cool...if anyone is down in the Merritt Island area sailing...I hope to see you there! I think anyone who can single hand a boat is AWESOME!!

What a great offer! I would love to do this, Lola! (I have an airtran voucher I need to use by Nov.) .... and I will offer the same in exchange - you can come visit Houston and sail Galveston Bay in return. (Might want to wait until spring for repairs from IKE to get things back to normal) Kemah boardwalk is fun.

I may not have as much experience as some of the other women here, but I'm good crew, plus take my boat out myself sometimes. I have taken ASA courses, helped bring a 37' across from Clearwater to Pensacola, chartered in Grenadines, sailed St. Pete, FL waters... looking for more experience and opportunity to see new areas. We can discuss more details and see what you think, if you want.

Please write me at ladyejs@msn.com to discuss more details. Thanks

HI Christine, I am in Rickenbacker Marina just off the causeway. I love your boat. My dream boat is a Caliber 40 LRC. I almost bought a Calber 38 but the surevey was a total bust. Lets get together sometime.

Ahoy everyone! I am boatless, but have over 20,000 KM on the water. If anyone gets to the Southern Chesapeake let me know. I know how nice it is to have transportation to pick up boat parts, laundry, shopping, friends while out cruising, and I am glad to help out. I also love to share sailing stories.

Hey Melissa,

I live aboard up in Lauderdale. Where are you? In Crandon Park Marina?

Ahoy Ladies, Female Captains and Admirals! I live on my boat in Key Biscayne FL so stop by and say HI. I usually solo sail my Hunter 36, Rhapsody in Blue, in the bay. I love to see female boat owners. WE ROCK!

I have a boat in Kemah on Galveston Bay. It's fun for day sails and occassional anchor overnight. 5 hr motor sail down the ship channel to Galveston and the gulf. I've joined several sailing groups hoping to meet, and hopefully become friends with, women sailors that might be interested in crewing and chartering for sailing trips. I love hearing all your stories.

Hey Lola -
Great idea for a group! I'm going to try to post a blog today about a "not so joyous" but pretty funny thing that recently happened to me. We've got to learn to laugh at ourselves, right? The joys of solo sailing.
