Hey sailors, I am located and sail in northeast around Fernandina and Cumberland sound in my 23' Olympic Dolphin. I am new to sailing but have been around boats almost all my days.
hi all...from Orlando...with my 23' Watkins slipped in Merritt Island...my hubby and I sail the intercoastal near the barge canal...life is WONDERFUL!!!!
High Melissa, just came back from a 5 day Trailer cruise to Pennicamp and stayed at the Marina doing day sails and Snorkling off the Reefs.
I got to see the Christ Statue again, this time in perfect clear waters and calm seas. Went out to Mollassas reef only to get 4-5 ft. breakers and 1.5 knot current so we just watched all the other 60 ft. plus boats roll and bonce.
Sat. was best sail as we had the wind just forward of the beam sailing 5.5 knots up and down S. of Biscayne
Sure glad I brought my 5000 btu window AC. Very hot, muggy and buggy.
We do Homestead and sail to Boca ,Elliot Key down thru Card Sound in Dec.28-Jan 1. with the WCTSS.
Alabama Jacks we always try to stop.
Dave
