I've been a member for about 10 years, and am finally a cruising liveaboard. Have made it from south Florida to Nantucket, and am heading to Maine before turning south again.
The bulletins show up a month or two late from my mailing address, but I can sometimes get online for current information.

I can't wait to get my bulletin each month...My biggest challenge is whether I should read it through in one sitting or to savor the experiences and information over several days!

As a member for over 10 years and former editor of the Commodores' Bulletin, I can say without reservation that if you are even just thinking about going cruising, then you need to join SSCA. The sheer amount of useful information that is available to you from hundreds of cruising members is invaluable. Not to mention, reading the Commodores' Bulletin will take you to far off ports or help you decide what the best gear may be for your boat.

Go, check it out! When you've signed up, you find even more available to you on the website.

"Auto ascending setup is an interesting idea, though it takes a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Once it's dialed in, it actually works quite well."
