Catamarans can have higher loads on their rigging as they do not heel over in gusts, but accelerate instead, or fly a hull. Something to avoid in a cruising cat. Cats like monos are all different, some are better than others for ocean cruising, bu...
Strange!! Obvious statement is, Something must not be right. What type of mast do you have? Would like to see some photos of the boat and rigging. I have a 36' cat and replaced the rigging when one strand out of 19 broke on one stay(at swage) afte...

Hi Stephen! Just woke up...going to be in the 80's today and tomorrow so going to the boat both days! Went down yesterday and did that first time "shopping" for the boat...yikes...can't fit another thing in the car! By time everything's done it will probably be the second week in May before I ever get out of the slip! Sound's like u need to hook a ride on someone's boat that's already in !! Need coffee....u take care!
Can hardly wait! Going down again today, hope to have name decal made today and put on, then the detailer will put a coat of hard wax on transom. We really need a few 70 degree days here soon. Will be chilly sailing, but will tough it out!!!!! LOL....mittens and long underwear the first week for sure. Is it chilly where you are or just getting boat stuff done?
