Hey Sailorgirlca,

I had my fuel tank removed and washed out, dried and put back in...and extensive engine work....last year. I only use STARTRON for my additive now
Works so smooth now. I never will use BIOBOR again as it kills the critters, but their bodies are left behind to clog....you need to decide for self, for those that disagree.

I also will post this above in the DISCUSSION ABOVE.

Thanks for the post.

I love the CS boats. Nice.

Ahoy ladies...just spent 4 days at my boat this week getting her ready for haulout up here in mid-eastern Canada......wed/thurs/fri were cold/raining but had to get all the stuff ready to haulout. Changed the engine oil, cleaned out the engine well, bilge, gave Tiehack a final scrub down and got much stuff that had to come home packed/stuffed into my car. Tiehack was hauled Friday at 1pm and despite cold/rain/slippery docks all went well. She settled in nicely into her cradle.....there are 3 sister ships close by so am sure all our CS27 designs will be happy being together this winter. Saturday although chilly but sunny got the engine winterized, etc, etc. Will need one more trip down there to remove the stanchions, set up the 2X4 struts and then tarp her off for the winter.
One of the many professional engine repairs I had done by a diesel mechan in the spring was to have the fuel tank drained/cleaned.....among the other things done this really made a huge difference .....was very pleased how smoothly the engine ran this year !!! Anyone want to discuss boats, maintenance, sailing issues.......let's here from you.......will help as I can.......dianne

Seems I just got my boat launched/organized & it's that time up here to pull it apart again. Thursday unstepped the mast, got all the standing rigging off/organized/spreaders removed. Friday got it wrapped in black plastic for winter protection. That was a challenge as winds coming off L. Ontario were over 30mph. My baby gets hauled on the 15th...still a long to do list but somehow it seems to get done.....

Finally got my boat launched last week, yesterday Liv and Wilf came down to help me do the furling gear/mast/sails on......she now looks like a sailboat again.....it took a lot of frustration to get to this point, I am usually sailing before the end of May up here .....but it's done and I am one happy gal.

Anyone interested in hand painted T Shirts? See my recent photos. #1,2 and 3, are women's Medium...I can make repeats, but will vary. I am starting some on dark colors, in Lg,X Lg. I am offering these here on Seaknots, and not a T shirt business. They can be an abstract of your boat and with name if desire.
Hand painted..washable..$20 Larger sizes $25. I'm still paying on the Yanmar...donations are fine too.
