I have again water in the ship!

As you know, this bilge has no communication with any other bilges ...

The part where the tube goes through the boat is mire than wet! ...

We cleaned that bilge 12 hours before and every thing was dry after ...

Does any body have an idea what could happen ....

Have you verified this little opening of that bilge under your shower/wc ????  Just to be sure that I am not alone with a problem like that .... :-(

our aft shower drain leaked fresh water into the bilge very early on. beneteau fixed it under warranty. took them two attempts but it hasnt happened again since. and we use that shower a lot!!! (we dont use the public ones at marinas anymore...)
Hi Alan
I had this problem too.

If the water is fresh and just slightly smelly and clear, it is likely from the shower drain sump.

The drain sump is silicon sealed to the floor of the shower and held in place with a number of screws. When you remove it you will see mould on the joint where it is leaking.

I cleaned and resealed mine over a year ago and haven't had a problem since. You have to be careful undoing and redoing the two drain pipes. They just have screw clamps that hold them in place.

If it’s not the seal to the floor sump you could first check that the screw clamps on the two pipes are tight, before you undo the drain sump.

If the water is fresh and clean it could also be coming from the pressure relief valve on the hot water tank. Mine has a short black hose and I put a plastic cup under it. Occasionally it has a little water in it, but it never needs emptying.

If the water is "very smelly" it could be a leak from the holding tank, but I bet it is the same as mine and Franc's - it will be the shower sump seal.

Mine took a couple of weeks to dry up as every time I went out a little more water would come out that was trapped under the floor. But after that - always dry :) - It’s our wine cellar!!!.

If you've been running the air conditioner it's probably condensation that drips off the condenser and misses the catch pan. The catch pan is not large enough to fit under the entire unit. I confirmed this on our boat by leaving the unit in the dehumidify mode and a dry paper towel on the floor beside the condenser. When we returned the next weekend the paper towel had obviously been wet. No solution to the problem yet although I do plan on building some sort of extension to catch the condensation in that area. By the way it's amazing how much water collects in the bilge. It takes a long time to remove it all.
This could be an explication ...

The condensation of the air conditioner ( we did not use the air condition ) could be an explication for picture 4 even if we only used it as an heater because of those low temperatures ....

But why there is some humidity on the picture n°3 ????
It could not come from the air condition an not from the shower (we also don't use the public ones ) because the bilge are not communicating ...
Alain, once water finds it way into the bilge it can get into some places you would not expect it to be. Because of this it takes several attempts to remove all the water from the bilge. I would find a way to eliminate the condensation from dripping into the bilge. Once you eliminate the condensation I think the remainder will dry up.
Thank you, i am going to confront Benetau y with the problem on monda and report what the end of the story is ...
Hi
I also have water "AGAIN" this time its fresh and clean (not from shower drain) and is coming from behind the engine (recess around stern gland full of fresh water) and it is draining to bilge.
(Wet wine bottles again!!!!)

Must be from rear water tank but didn't have time to look properly.
(I don't have aircon)

Anyone else had this leak?
Beneteau is comming from France to Slovenia ( more than 1000km !!! ) on the 19 of Mai 2010 to fix .... (I don't care what ... but they better have to fix it! )

More Information when .....
So Alain, what a hell are you doing at Slovenia ??? :) :) :) :)
I have my boat there ( Izola ) and my relatives :-)
Had a similiar leak on our previous Beneteau 361 and the setup is the same as the 43. The shower control valve on the swim platform had a leak inside the hull. It dripped down the back of the hull and pooled at the stern gland and also under the engine area. Run your hand under the assembly inside the hull and feel for mositure. Make sure you have the water pump on when you do this. Check both the valve and shower head.

We also had a leak in our rear water tank on our 43. It was only a problem when the tank was full. Water leaked from tank area to where the charger and house battery sits. They replaced the tank and no more problems.
pffff .... they are coming on the 19th and on the 25 I have guest abroad for a trip to Croatia ( Novigrad and Rovinj ... very beautiful destination by the way ). My ant and my uncle will come ...

I hope Beneteau fix every thing quick ! They should be, because of all those problems I already had with them. I suggested them to buy an apartment for the technician who have to come every time from so far :-) For the moment they are getting on my ... ! Now I want a prolongation of the warranty !

How Lithium Batteries Work?

Lithium-ion batteries are rechargeable energy storage systems that power a wide range of devices, from smartphones to electric vehicles. They work by moving lithium ions between two electrodes — a positive electrode (cathode) and a negative electrode (anode) — through an electrolyte medium. Here’s a breakdown of the process and components:1. Key ComponentsAnode (Negative Electrode): Commonly made of graphite, the anode releases lithium ions during discharge and absorbs them during…See More
