ROLLER BEARING TRAVELLER CARS ON OCEANIS 43

I think I can remember some time back a member of this group suggested rollers sheaves on the traveller car provided a significant improvement in the ease of operation.Has anyone carried out this modification and if so what hardware was used? Thanks,BilgolabandsSee More

BACKFILLING TOILET ON OCEANIS 43

Hello all,The front head on our 43 has, after 6 years of perfect operation, begun filling with clean sea water after use; the only way to stop the inflow is to close the inlet seacock. I have replaced the joker valve, I feel fruitlessly as it is on the outlet side of the system.Question: Is there a valve fitted on inlet side of the Jabsco 37010, as in the manual toilet, and/or do Beneteau fit an anti syphon or vented loop in their standard Oceanis toilet plumbing. I have had a reasonably good…See More

"Robert, yes there is a fuse that could be your problem. It could either have failed or the contact surfaces could be corroded enough to prevent current flow through it. It's a small box shaped square that sits on the Red + post of the House…"

I saw your question about the wiring in the B43 cockpit table. Our's is a US built and has a socket on top of the table for a lamp. There is a switch on the front of the table tha turns the lamp on/off. I hope this helps.

Shower drain check valve (non return valve) location on B43

Hi, the water in the front shower drain, when pumped out, seems to partially flowing into the aft shower drain box. And the water pumped out from that seems to be flowing back a little. I think the check valve is malfunctioning but I haven’t been able to locate it. Can anyone help please. Many thanks.See More

Power Cord change

After 10+ years it was time to change the 50A 125/250 V shore power splitter. It had served well but it was showing signs of degradation due to heat. I also had previously changed out the boat side power inlet connectors to the SmartPlug type, changing out the fittings on the shore power cable to match. I absolutely love the SmartPlug system. No twisting, sure connection, much more surface area, etc.I decided to buy short factory made 25 FT Smartplug power cords as I normally berth stern-to and…See More
