Hurricanes are coming!
So in the mean time, I plan to stay just West of the Alley. Im considering this Houston/Galveston Bay group to keep the dream alive till November-ish.

by chance last evening on TV there was 1.5 hrs documentary of the Volvo Race. At that stage most boats had transversed the Horn & now heading up toward the Falklands & ultimately Rio.......wow, what coverage !!!!! I thought I was a pretty tough single sailor until I saw what these sailors have encountered and need to deal with. I was amazed, totally impressed !!! At this point in my life.......this kind of sailing is for the young stuff...........

well Im pullin my head outta the books fer awhile(a year at least) and get acquainted w/ my new boat. She grew up here in Clear Lake and is gonna show me around. After I get familiar with the her and all she knows, I 'll be looking to annie-up the challenge. Cheers
