I just have to say that the rOnDayvous was a great experience for me. We sailed out to Greenport, NY, Long Island from Warwick, RI. 15 hours starting at 2 am friday, Sailing at night is amazing. We had a great time meeting all the O'day Owners and members of this group. Pete, thanks for encouraging me to attend this event. It surely will be on my calander from now on. The Brewer Sterling Harbor Marina was ready and waiting for our arrival. The staff there was
totally accomodating and professional, thanks for a great weekend. What a great
destination. We met a bunch of great fun loving Oday cruisers there, toured Greenport, and enjoyed a fun cookout and sing along on Saturday nite. With a SW wind we sailed home to Narragansett Bay on sunday hitting speeds of six knots most of the way up the Jamestown side of the bay to make it home safe and sound in just 13 hours. This will be a annual event for me and I hope more O'Day owners come along next time. It was well worth the effort.

Pete, I don't think George is going to join me. I haven't heard from him in days. He hasn't responded to my attempts to contact him. I guess you better leave his name off the trophy. I am in Brunswick now in my trusty steed. I.ll leave as soon as possible to make the RonDAYvous!

Al (et al.): Don't forget that the rOnDAYvous will include the annual O'day swap meet. It's one big yard sale of boat stuff where everything is free. Maybe someone there will be able to help you out.

If any of you guys have duplicate charts, map books, etc bring them to rondevous if your going and if not, email me re: what you have and how much for them. I don't care if old as long as they are serviceable. Also I am looking for a VHF Radio, base or handheld or both. That will get me started. Thanks guys

No problem. Now I'll have to go out and actually buy a trophy.

(BTW: "Magnificent Obsession," what a perfect name.)

Thank you Pete. Think positive! Get the spelling right S/V Magnificent Obsession
Crew: Master Al Voisine 1st Officer George Boase. Make sure Trophy is polished nicely.
