Gulf Coast update

Well as it seems, with each front that passes through, there are more and more tar balls washing up on the barrier islands. Have seen the work force from BP on Daily basis and I can assure you that an effort is being made to clean up the islands by BP officials. Weather sometimes keeps them from coming out and working , but they are plugging away at it daily.



Have seen as many as 200 people walking horn island picking up and few as 75.

went by and checked on boat today at the yard. Got most of the mast work done now and waiting on the yard to paint hull and deck.

New harken mk4 will be in thursday so i can start making the new forestay.

Thanks Chuck!  I have to admit we don't know how to use the spinnaker yet.  That picture was taken by the previous owners.  Hopefully we'll sail to Alabama this year and meet up!

not as much work s i had previously thunk--have 2 spare camp stoves!!! LOL..now for the rest of the spares.......

sorry to hear that. i also lost my only child, back in '94. he was just shy of his 25th birthday. it's still difficult to accept. glad you were able to channel it somewhat through Jacob's Dream. sailing's a good, clean way to remember him by.
