I just googled "Yanmar YSE8" got 13000 hits on it. You should be able to find a mechanic ore replacement there.

I am the proud owner of a Irwin 10/4 sailboat of 1978 vintage,,,,However my Yanmar YSE8 diesel engine is not well, and is in need of serious repair or replacement.

- Have been sailing six years, studied Basic Keelboat at J World, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Basic Cruising a J World, Annapolis, Md.
At this time I am blessed with owning two sail boats, A Spirit 23,which is great for the Missippi River, and a Irwin 10/4 for my bigger adventures. However I hope to sell the Spirit next spring so I can put more money into the Irwin 10/4...

I guess we or quarter loopers but will likely be up on Lake Superior for a few seasons. There is so much to see and such a short season that it will take time. Good luck on your southern half.
