Yes I would be interested in sailing with you.  What kind of boat do you have?  I didnt get much sailing in this year.  I race with friends but the skipper had a heart attach in April and put him out of commission for most of the season.

Hey RD,
Good to hear about other Bay sailors. My boat is a Van de Stadt design similar to the Victory 40 that was built in Holland and Britain in the mid 70's to mid 80's. Van de Stadt also sold plans and my boat was built in S. Africa in the mid 70's. She was sailed by her owner over to Brazil and then on to England and the Carib..I am not sure of the actual routing but base my belief on the charts that where on board when I bought her. She was lying, neglected, in a yard between Balt. and Annapolis I bought her from a charity org that acquired her from the estate of her last owner. I think he was her second or third. She was documented in Great Britain for a time as well as with the US Coast Guard. There is a web site devoted to these boats and others in the lineage. http://www.victory40.co.uk/

"Auto ascending setup is an interesting idea, though it takes a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Once it's dialed in, it actually works quite well."

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
