- I don't want to get a "real job" yet so I am captaining/crewing/fixing/rigging/and sailing on a 2006 Beneteau 57 named Splendido.
I have been sailing for my entire life, mostly on the Chesapeake Bay until a few years ago.
We are cruising the Caribbean currently doing some charters along the way.

Franc of sv Can Drac told me they used Skype when they could pick a free signal on their recent travels. They enhanced this capacity with a kit from Netgate. (btw - super helpful Customer Service - maybe it's since they live in Hawaii).

I have a 43, and it too can experience weather helm. Aggressive use of the traveller helps. I changed the sheaves in the traveller to ball bearing ones in place of the standard ones to reduce the effort required in heavier winds. It helped. Lewmar...
Mike, can you provide information on the breaker? I will pick one up and keep as a spare since this seems to be a problem that may pop up based on at least a couple of folks experience.

I have the 3-bladed fixed prop and the shallow draft keel as well. The folding prop can also improve sailing speed, but at the expense of motoring speed.
