kevin,

I tried to leave a comment from my smart phone, but it does not bring up this dialog box to enter text into...

 but we have a '77 Cal 34-III.

we have modernized it with lots of upgrades and improvments to the interior and exterior.

the mast and rigging has been replaced to increase the strength for a bit better dependability when open ocean cruising. I have plans to install solar panels this fall, but otherwise the boat is cruise ready.

the only big thing that is left to do on the the boat is paint it... it looks good as it is, but the gelcoat has been loved to death with the buffer by a previous owner.

to us, the apperance of the exterior is less of a concern than is the living space and the dependability of all the systems, so we put our money where it counts for out intended use.   its a nice boat.

Dear Kevin,

Can you inform me in detail the short-comings of a Cal-31 besides being tender?

I saw your photo entry in Lola's March contest. I used to live a chip shop away from where your picture was taken (okay more like a 5 iron) at the Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard. I entered the sunrise over Sausalito photo in the same contest. Good luck!
