Picked up a T2 tall mast this year, missing all the running rigging. Anyone out there with any info on them?

Recently purchased a 1977 Cal 34 type 3.  Need to remove bottom paint fix a few blisters and repaint.  Looks like the cutless bearing is in need of replacement.  Anyone know the length?  Common parts I find online are 4".  Just wondering if that is correct as I am trying to get all my parts in order prior to moving to the yard.

Thanks for any replies,

Newbie

Hello, after looking seriously at a 1974 Islander 36 that required a lot of work, I am now looking at a 1984 CAL 35 MKII which is in excellent condition.

Should anyone have any words of advice on what they particularly like and dislike about the CAL 35 MKII I would be most appreciative as I have not purchased a boat this large or old before.

Many thanks

Davis

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Sea Knots.  I bought/found a 1972 Cal 29 and I would like to contact other Cal 29 and 2-29 owners.  I am berthed in the San Francisco Bay in the San Leandro Marina.  I have several questions and curiosities that can best be answered by current owners.  I would also like to check out their boats too, as I try to restore my boat.  I have not named my boat and the old name is so faded away that I hope to come up with her new name soon.  If you are or were an owner, please reply.

Thanks,

Allan

Was wondering if there were any cal 31 owners who could comment on how well the deck and structural wood work is holding up.  I may look at a cal 31 and would like to know if there are any problems w the boat.  I bought a cal 29 years ago that was in bad shape and would like to avoid the same issues(waterlogged core in deck and rotted bulkheads)

Howzit CAL people,

Hope  that the summer is going good. We've been doing our usual runs and having good fun. Great, windy summer. Good sunsets and good fishing.
