Sailing since 1978, Offshore Sailing School, owner DownEast 32m then Camper Nicholson 40, then Nauticat 43, cruised extensivly on my Oyster 485 sold in Newport Beach, she is now in Seattle. East Coast waters dictated change so now have Albin 36 Express Trawler bought this summer. So far I really like her looks and feel, space but miss the oyster quality and sailing. USCG 50T Captail with Sail and Towing Endorsements.
Destinations visited:
Great Barrier Reef/Australia, West Coast of England, Acapulco to San Francisco, American Samoa to Hawaii, Thoirny path FL to Leeward Islands, Bermuda and US East Coast Newport, RI to Key West mostly on the "outside". Total 18,000+ blue-water miles, mostly double-handed.

Hi Carl,
Welcome aboard. I can understand how you would miss that Oyster. In the picture you posted, she looks gorgeous. Back in my old married days, I lived aboard and cruised a custom 55-footer and I have to say, while I do sometimes miss that old beauty, I am happy to have a much smaller boat these days. I imagine you feel the same. But man, you must miss the sailing!
