The site seems to be very quiet. Have folks started using a different Beneteau 40/ 43 gathering spot? I have found great utility on this site. Comments?

Hi Sam, while I no longer own a boat I still follow this site as well as others and you're right it seems very quiet. Not sure why it's become this way. Perhaps everyone's boat is running perfect. Um no doubt that's it LOL. I guess we'll have to see what others say.

Well I've been down almost two years with a heart issue that a quintuple bypass didn't cure. I can certainly relate to the latest medical news about advances in medication vs scalpel happy surgeons. And on top of that my first mate had a hip replaced in May and scheduled the other in six weeks! Plus she's talking about a new knee next summer!!!

It's hell to get old. We really enjoyed the 40 in 2016 after the purchase but now I regret having it sit there in the slip not being used. We only visit for one day a month to check the bilge and dock lines or to scrub the deck, and now the hull is getting molded. I'm biting my tongue now and ending the rant! I still check in here maybe once every two months.

Happy Holidays to all the members and happy sailing!!

"Hi All, french built 2010 43 has been very dry down below but now a slow leak has occurred which is showing at the limber holes under the floor board in forward cabin. Bilge pump goes every 3hrs for 20secs. Not sure if it’s fresh/rain water or…"
