I have a 2008 B43 with a Max Power bow thruster, my problem is that it works fine on the starboard button, but is very intermittent on the port side. I am assuming that the buttons are OK since they turn the thruster power on & off. Any ideas ??

I would check first all the wires and connections.

Saludos.

I have double checked them all, now the port side does not work at all

I've attached the electrical diagrams in case you don't have them. There is a multipin connector that the control uses to attach to the wiring harness. You may want to check that for corrosion if you only have one side working.

Thanks, I do have the diagram, plus the one from Max Power. All wiring looks good. Ma xPower says it is the control panel.

Thanks again

I know of someone who had the control switch at the helm go bad and exhibit the same symptoms. It was on a B423. Some switch types have thin metal layers that contact when you press on the button. The metal layers can break down over time and fail to make contact. No contact means no thruster operation. He replaced the switch and all is well. Good luck
Mike

I have replaced the control panel and still have the same issue. The wiring all checks out fine. Not sure where to go next. Have a call into Max Power

If control panel and wires are ok, check the relays and the electric engine.

Problem found. I replaced the control box. All is well again
