Hi All-

There are so many options out there. I was wondering what options or upgrades you added to your Beneteau that you are happy with and if there are any that you thought were a good idea at the time but could really live without.

We are planing to make a simular construction in our 40
Until we are planing to buy *slatted frame* by Ikea or simular and adapte the frames manualy to the right lenght. So we have to fix it somewhere, so that we are planing to fix it on the woods and try a simular construction. Also the idea to put a safe in a place like this, is not so bad ...

We are from New York and recently sailed to Florida & are off for the Bahamas next month.  We added a full cockpit enclosure for the trip down & it was worth every penny we spent.  When the sun's out but it's cold you've got a greenhouse going on, toasty as can be.  We've waved from our cockpit to other sailors bundled up while we sat in our T-shirts.  Think it's a great investment.  Not the most beautiful thing to look at, but when the weather's bad, it's fabulous.

Couldn't agree more with your "worth every penny" comment. We also had a full cockpit enclosure made when the boat was new. Now we're dry in a summer storm, warm on a damp day, etc. Don't think I'd ever be without one again.

We did a major upgrade to our DC electrical system on our new-to-us 2 cabin Beneteau 411 including new battery charger, combiner, battery monitor and 4 golf cart batteries. Also we re-wired the system such that both battery charger and alternator B+ are connected directly to house bank and not common of switch. Next, we plan to add wind and/or solar to complete the project.

"Hi All, french built 2010 43 has been very dry down below but now a slow leak has occurred which is showing at the limber holes under the floor board in forward cabin. Bilge pump goes every 3hrs for 20secs. Not sure if it’s fresh/rain water or…"
