I spotted an oil sheen last night in 29.30N/93.30W last night @1900. I was informed by a response vessel that there was a large patch 50 mi East moving West @ .5 kts.

Thats the first I have heard of oil being that far west. I guess the winds and currents are shifting things over that way more. Lots of oil out there to go around.
