Once again, I'm planning a 7 to 14 day Bay Cruise for the period around Memorial Day weekend. It would be great to get several boats to buddy cruise, for whatever time each was able to commit. Boats could join and leave the group at any time during the cruise.
I'm thinking of heading south from the Deltaville area, to Norfolk and then up the Eastern shore, anchoring in as many spots as possible.
I encourage everyone's input.

Ahoy Capn' Larry
Again planning on crewing for my brother Bob on his Beneteau 423 "Breezing Up" over Memorial Day Weekend to the following weekend. Plan to attend the proposed Beneteau Rendezvous at Deltaville on June 4-6. 2010. Can you give me yours and Marty's boat names again for hailing purposes? Hope to finally meet up and raft up with you all. Love to swap sea stories and Irish "pregnant Bull" stories with Marty, lol. Will be getting underway from Baltimore Inner Harbor on or about May 28 heading South. Could meet you along Eastern Shore. Tangier Island with the overhead cable crossing the channel is too low for Beneteau's Mast to clear safely, so not interested in meeting there.
Cap'n Ron,
Sounds good. We'll work out the details Where in Deltaville is the Beneteau Rondy? I'm guessing Fishing Bay? We could probably meet there, or perhaps Cape Charles? I'm on "AllAboutMe" and Martin is on "Valinor"
Ahoy Cap Larry,
Beneteau Rendezvous sponsored by Annapolis Yacht Sales-South. Being held at Jackson Creek, Deltaville VA. (http://www.annapolisyachtsales.com/rendezvous.cfm). We are going to be traveling South on or about May 28 to make the June 4-6 rendezvous. Will be meeting a former work colleague of mine, Bob Meyers on his trimaran Corsair 31 "TRI ONE" at the rendezvous. Don't know where we will be on any given day or night on the way down to Deltaville. Hail us as "Breezing Up" and maybe we can raft up somewhere along the way.
Capt Ron
Ron,
We'll do our best to hook up with you. Don't know yet where we'll be. We're still working on dates, but I hope to be in Deltaville by the 27th to get the boat ready to go. I'll look for you.
Ron,
I'm on AllAboutMe, and Martin,(never Marty) is on Valinor.
Hi Larry, If my schedule is clear I'll probably get in on this. I will keep in touch either way. Rocky
Rocky,
Good you You!!! I'll update as often as needed, to keep all in the loop.
Rocky,
Still interested? Give me a shout. Trying for the 29th to the 4th of June.
Well, we did it.Two boats, AllAboutMe and Valinor. Left Deltaville on Saturday May 29, and sailed north to Mill Creek in the Wicomico River. Stayed overnite, got anchor up early and sailed northeast to Tangier Island. Arrived mid afternoon, and had to motor around the marina for an hour or so waiting for two transient slips. Mr. Parks was great. Had a great time exploring the island, a great dinner at Hilda Crockett's Chesapeake House Restaurant & Bed & Breakfast . Best

Crab cakes I've ever eaten. Early out on Monday morning, headed north again for Crisfield, Md. Close reach all the way, found our way into the state owned Somers Cove Marina, (See photo of Crisfield sunset)

where there are 450 slips. Got tied up, and did a little exploring. Plan was to leave Tuesday morning for home, but the weather trapped us there for an extra day. Wednesday morning, retraced our track to Deltaville, broad reach most of the way, right up to the channel mark. Only almost got run down once, by a cruising trawler...I was a bit miffed, but the trawler captain seemed to know exactly what he was doing, and gave us the High sign as he crossed our bow.... Sorry there weren't more of us out there, but it was a great five days of sailing and exploring new ground. Can't wait til September and the Fall version of the Great Chesapeake Bay Adventure 2010 Edition.

so .... how did it go? everyone have fun? return with the same crew with which you started :-)
ooops now I see it.
