I have some cracking length wise along port side of deck (I think) and a shrinkage crack near mast that I will fix.

I could take some photos on weekend but I don't think they are bad enough to be of any structural concern.

Other minor issue is holes/air bubbles under gel coat (about 5) in cockpit area.
But not major issues to repair but indicates poor quality control.

PS
Re your generator I would be interested in pictures too (particularly location of raw water inlet and exhaust.

I was thinking the main port locker (I have two cabin version) would be better that rear one on starbord side.

I assume yours is 3 cabin?

David
I also have the 2 cabin version

The main Port locker ... why you want to loose that great place ? Thats the place we have the washing machine installed.
The water inlet is under the bed next to the water inlet for the engine.

very important is that you install an real em-basement where you can install your generator. If not, the vibrations will lead through and become very noisy ....

I can take pictures on monday. ...
Thanks

I will show your pictures to the local dealer for the Paguro installation. Was your embasement stratified ? Some generators are installed on a heavy metallic plate to attenuate vibrations is this what you did ?

On all the Oceanis 40/43 the water inlet is under the stairs in front of the engine I don't see a water inlet under the bed ?

Have a good day.

ups ... you are right ...
They installed the waterinlet for the AC under the Bed and the inlet for the Paguro is also there ...

Pictures will come on late Sunday or Monday morning ( Europe time )

Now our problem is solved
The solution is:
Behind the water inlet you have to put an * anti return * ( really important !!! )
and from there you have to go to the pump of the generator ( even if in the manual this possibility is not mentioned ! ) From the pump you go to the inverter cooler. From the inverter cooler you go to the cooling system of the generator

If you do it this way, you can install your generator in the position where we have it. All other fittings do not work ! ( we had the manufacture of the Paguro on board to solve the problem that the Generator pump is not strong enough to bring the cooling water above the waterline )
Good pictures. Love the dark blue hull. Do you have a picture that shows the entire boat?
here is one

She looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing the picture.
Hello,
Thank you for the pictures. Your Oceanis looks great with the blue hull.

The dealer here in Spain suggests to put the Paguro 3000 compact under the lazarette tablet. The tablet could be lifted if necessary by a few cm. The generator would go on a heavy plate. The plate would be laminated to the hull, this would avoid vibration noise according to him.

Do you also have an inverter is the generator integrated or works separetly ?

Can you start the generator by hand if necessary ?

I will try to send some pictures of the proposed situation.

Chat to you latter this evening.

Thank you again for your help.

Denis
To put it under the tablet would certainly be a good idea ... but i have to say that our generator is not as noisy as that. In attachment a soundclip

recorded with my Cellphone. You have to turn it really loud to hear some thing ... because it is not so noisy ;-) Mounting it the way you suggest, will make it even more silent but your installation will be more expensive. But think first of the use of it. I need it to cook coffee (expresso) and for the microwave. And before I go to bed, an half an hour for cooling the boat a bit down and charging the batteries. If you use it for all together at the same time, your 3000 will not be strong enough. Yes, I have enough space to hand start the generator, but I hope that I have newer to do this because the space left is really low .... and anywhere, the Paguro has his own starter batterie that could be connected in worst case to an other one on board

Anyway, dont forget the * anti-return* after the water inlet ... that small piece missing cost me a lot of nerves this summer by filling each time my water filter again with water ...

Today the installed my Raymarine AIS transceiver :-) Now I am waiting for my Gyro sensor and the Autopilot SmartController ...Soundclip.wav
Hi

Thanks for pictures but a couple of questions

• Why not use existing batteries to start it ( to save extra weight aft)
• I was thinking of mounting it on hull below the step where yours is, as I have Webasto diesel air heater on this step.

• I thought I would glass thick plywood base plate to hull and existing ribs where your rear aircon is (I think)

• Also what type and size aircon do you have as starting currents seem to be a problem.

• Do you have the dual speed ECO version (about $10,300 AUD) as the low speed would be enough for just battery charging and on 3000 rpm, I could live with using Microwave, aircon and water heater etc separately (I think???) to avoid overloading.

• Also as I previously asked here does anyone have bronze skin fittings with stainless seacocks. I can see skin fittings are bronze but seacocks appear silver so I assume they are stainless??

Regards
David
Why not use existing batteries to start it ( to save extra weight aft)

-> It seems that my Paguro has his own batterie charger ... Thats what they told me ...

° ( to save extra weight aft)

-> I have so many chain in my front and a 32 kg Bruce ... Confort first , then speed :-)

Why not use existing batteries to start it ( to save extra weight aft)

• I was thinking of mounting it on hull below the step where yours is, as I have Webasto diesel air heater on this step.

-> yes, why not ...

• I thought I would glass thick plywood base plate to hull and existing ribs where your rear aircon is (I think)

?

• Also what type and size aircon do you have as starting currents seem to be a problem.

-> ??? I can take pictures of it later ... I have two of them, originally mounted by Beneteau. You are right, if you start both together, the Generator will handle it but have a high peak to bring . Thats why I start them one after the other ( 20sec of time between ) and switch of the warm water boiler. The batterie charger is in the system is ok when you start the AC . In this case, both running I have about 85 % of power consumption ... I avoid to run it on 100 % for more than a few seconds

• Do you have the dual speed ECO version (about $10,300 AUD) as the low speed would be enough for just battery charging and on 3000 rpm, I could live with using Microwave, aircon and water heater etc separately (I think???) to avoid overloading.

-> ??? I have an normal 3000 with one speed. Don`t believe everything dealers are saying, they want as much money they can get :-)
Just check the prices ... if you can manage your consumption, you can save money ;-) I was used to have a two 80 amp/h system on my first boat, so this is luxury for me now

• Also as I previously asked here does anyone have bronze skin fittings with stainless seacocks. I can see skin fittings are bronze but seacocks appear silver so I assume they are stainless ??

-> Sorry, I don`t know why they have done it like this …

-> If you have the same sythem as Ihave, you have 2 Landpower sockets. In this case you need 2 (!!!) Sterling ProSwitch or one that you order by them, made specially for you ( as we have )
