she was already named when i met her 4 yrs or more ago---she is a sweet boat--needs absolutely everything at this point---i donot mind remaining aboard--is always kat to talk with----he almost knows english....she would not be too bad to single hand--only 41 ft boat--not that much bigger than a 35......and more sails....there is always the boat to talk with---i was taught she is alive and will speak with you .....
very nice interior---good mix of old and new --wood=old and modern styling,,,,,nice........sometimes i use orange oil on my wood---in my ericson there was a faded spot in my wood--i used teak oil on iot and it perked right up---now loooks the same as rest of my interior there---my formosa has veneer--but is a thicker wood and is over filipine mahogany(yukky stuff) but i use orange oil on it--was varnished over cetol a while on back....
update---i am keeping the formosa--been reading of folks buying them for more than i can sell this one and fixing more than i have to fix on this one.....and her lines are unbeatable......
thankyou--i love the lines and the pirate ship look th efpormosa and ct and hardin sea wolf carry ---very very traditional and sweeeet......my kinda girl....i just hope i can make her a really good pirate ship on my broken shoestring budget.....they have such a reputation for the deck rot from undser places that leaked for ever and more----so i do definitely have a challenge on my hands---but these sell faster here than a sweet ericson 35mII-----go figger---have already had 3 offers on the formosa for waaay more than i am paying ......none on the ericson........wow...and the ericson actually sails and has a yanmar with loow hours!!!! go figger!!!!
Good luck with the Formsa!! I've admired them from afar and would like to see more. So please sends pics f the interior.
I love my Allied Princess 36 Ketch, and have owned lved aboard for over 10 years now (mostly in Boston Harbor). As a solo, except for Queen Olivia, she is a great vessel, and you couldn't as for a sweeter mothion on the water. But I think I now need to move up to at least 2 state rooms in order to be able to do overnight charters.
Obvious a Morgan OI 41 ould be idea interior space wise, but they are tubbs. At least they are generally affordable tubbs ;-)

Don't know all the background on the Victory, but I think Coronado and Catalina both built them under contract at one time.
If you are like me, the boat photos I have was when the seller put it up on broker website. The boat is totally changed now, but no new photos as yet.
Are you planning to single hand the Formosa 41? Naming it Solitary Bird, sound like you enjoy your own company.
I don't know how I will cope being onmy own on a boat.
Sail handling is not the problem. No one to talk to for days would be.
