I'm still a long way off from visiting CR and hanging out with Fabio in Puntarenas, but I'll probably need another acoustic guitar by then. I've been looking at some fábrica de guitarras in CR, but I was wondering if y'all have any recommendations?
One I found in San Jos'e near Cinco Esquinas is Guitarras Guzman.

Hi
Hello to all in Puntarenas. I'm currently spending more time in the US (NYC) and visiting Costa Rica and will enjoy sailing in the Gulf

As far as the forecast for the Regatta, you can expect NE winds, forecast is for less than 10 knots, but you know how the wind speeds up near the Punta. we will see, I heard of bad weather in Agujas and Punta Leona the last two days due the Norteños, Friday is expected with similar pattern which will decrease Saturday.

Heavy winds here in the central valley. I calculate that puffs are more than 65 mph.mMy daughter in Guanacaste says that Papagayo winds broke strong.
Bether sail with a miniskirt this days of november. Temp is low also (14 Celsius at night) I have an especial marineweather report from the Meteorological Institute

As part of the learning process to visit Costa Rica, here is the very positive link to the US State Department page to Costa Rica. http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/bgn/2019.htm
A good step 1 for any foreign visitor to Costa Rica.

any time guys , jst let me know and we will help you with everything , we dont really have formal regattas here , just club races no more than 20 boats , last year we did our first annual regatta at puerto azul , you can see the video in our web page www.puertoazulcr.com , and some times the local club have some races , but we can allways start a new tradition , so .......we have here a very entusiastic group of friends , you'll get to know them when you came .

Spring Sailing: That's 5 days a week from March through May...Some weekends for regattas & a 3 day DELMARVA prior to doing the Annapolis-Newport Race, Marion-Bermuda, Marblehead-Halifax.
Busy schedule, but Costa Rica is a chance in a lifetime!

Hello Fabio,
The invitation is very alluring.
I'll put the idea on my wish list of things to do.
Is there a regatta or event schedule for Puntarenas?
Thank you very much for the invitation.
I know I have to go to Florida for 2 weeks in December, and there is an option of doing Key West Race Week in January, and we go back in sailing season here (I call it work) in March when I begin the 5 day on the water offshore racing practice. I'll look at airfare.
Muchissimas Gracias!
~Pete
