Aloha Cal people, Happy 6th of July ! Anybody going sailing? Busy weekend, we got to go sailing 4 days straight. It was great ! Steady trades and plenty beer was the call. Also got lucky again with a good sized ONO. I took the today off just to get some rest. Hope that you folks got some sailing in.
Aloha ka'kou,
Leonard

Aloha Cal sailors,
Had a great pau hana sail yesterday. We hit the trifecta, with a great sail, anice fish (ONO) and a beautifull sunset as we reached the harbor. Enjoy!
Aloha ka'kou,

Aloha Cal sailors, Here's a pic of a 29 in drydock recently. Turned out real good! Had some blisters, but still stolid. We're going tomorrow. Wind has been light and variable...
Aloha ka'kou,
Leonard

Just joined to let all know about my website which has a lot about a Cal 29 and single handed offshore in 1997-8. Might be helpful although I swallowed the anchour about 10 years ago. http://rdarcy.net -top of page

Aloha Cal sailors, Please have a good thought for my sailing partner/co-owner JohnO as he undergoes torn rotator cuff surgery tomorrow (Tues). We got to go on a short motor sail this morning before I had to go to work. We saw many humpbacks and enjoyed what may be his last ride for a few weeks. He'll be ballast for about three months after that. Rehab to follow. Our motto, "getting old a'int for sissies!"
Mahalo,
Leonard

Hey Debbie,
Changing to a roller furling jib will be the best money you ever spent on your boat! The ease of use will make all the difference.

Re: Hank on jib
We added a Furlex system to our Cal 34 about 10 years ago. Truly one of the best improvements ever.
