Howzit Cal people, Not much going on here... I jumped ship yesterday for a ride on my friends Offshore 41. Great day off Waikiki, with the women's Molokai canoe race coming in. Good wind, good rum!
Aloha ka'kou,

Howzit Loren, Sanding? Better you than me! Just kidding. It's been a fun filled sailing year since our last haul in Aug/08. Get the work done and reap the benefits. Enjoy the Labor Day weekend! Hope the sailing is good. Post a pic when done.
Aloha ka'kou,
Leonard

Howzit Loren,
Yes, we get to sail 2-3 times a week if schedules work out. Don't live aboard, just coastal cruising on O'ahu (Northshore). Slip is in Haleiwa and summer is the most productive for fishing. We try different combinations of bait rigs and regular skirted lures while trolling. Anywhere from 3-6 kts. Always nice to get a hook-up to go along with the sailing. That and my mother-in-law likes me a lot better when I give her fish...
Aloha ka'kou,
Leonard

PS- Dan-Try google Lapworth designs for info on the 43. I think he designed that one too..

Loren. WindSwept is a Cal-43, hull number 7. Looking for anybody with same. Not very many made (14) so information is limited.

Had WindSwept out last weekend in the bay. Under full sail, first time since I got her last fall. What a blast, I'm just not used to that kind of speed. I've got a lot of learning ahead of me.

Aloha "new" Cal owners,
E komo mai. (Welcome). We have a 27, but am sure that you'll love the 29. Great sailing boats and very solidly built. Have fun and enjoy!
