SeaKnots

Just so you all know, Galesville is a great spot to visit. Easy sailboat access with 7'+ channel. Large anchorage with good holding ground, great restaurants, lots of creeks for dinghy exploring, and two marinas.
Wednesday evening's racing has 50+ boats competing. The starting line is right off Pirates Cove Marina so it's great for entertainment from the anchorage.

50 boats starting, sounds like the start would be fun enough, we have trouble with just ten mind you we really don't take each other too seriously, (at least that is what we keep telling ourselves),
ps what do you call two boats sailing side by side, ans: a race
West River Sail Club is a great sailing club in Galesville that hosts many small boat regattas from Optimist to Chesapeake 20's as well as a strong catamaran sailing organization that race mostly A Cats. Hartge Yacht Yard is a very good boatyard and can do excellent wooden boat repair.
It's a great place.
