Chillaxin on Chiquita,,,,,

Really, what do I do all day long that pre-empts my writing time. On the plus I have been organizing my journal notes from as far back as 2004. Dates are not always in chronological order. Places are not always specified. When writing articles and memoirs dates and places become a distraction taking too long to scroll through more than 5 journal books. The task at hand is to use a software program called 'Pages' on my MacBook Air. Currently I am about halfway through my first journal book. Interesting comments encourage me to encourage everyone to keep a journal.

Another time consuming luxury is my devotion to maintaining a healthy, happy relationship with my life mate. Never before, including my 35 year marriage to Dan, did I put two primary incidentals foremost. One is each morning asking, "What are your plans for today?" This is followed by my arranging my schedule pending his plan. The other is planning breakfast and/or dinner.

I find these two priorities to make an interesting, fun day. The challenge is to then squeeze in what I want to do. Everything I want to do gets done:  (1) check on SPRAY-open companionway, sweep off the deck and make one slight improvement (2) exercise (3) go to town (4) call/text friends n family (5) read and (6) write.

Since January 2013 I have read 42 books. Recently I became addicted to pickle ball (part of exercise program) and playing words with friends on the iPhone. Noticing that writing is the last thing on my list (above) I hereby commit to putting it second. Despite what some may think, I have a lot of good things to say to share and inspire others. My dad gave me the gift of enjoyment. Regardless of how bad something may have been, how irritating something was, he always seemed to bounce around the house with a 'come on, let's go' attitude.

Again, I invite someone to nudge me, prod me, offer to edit my musings to get my article on sailing across the South Bight of Andros Island, and my trials and tribulations as I learned being a naturally talented competitive sailor were not my fate. I gave it hell though!

Cheers, and best wishes to all,

Sassea
