Mike, good to hear from you and glad you are enjoying the Bahamas. I really like the cruising there.

Longhawk is back at Lakewood in Clear Lake. After cruising from Feb 2013 , making it to the Bahamas and up the east coast only as far as the low country of Georgia, we brought the back back in 2014. We have had four grandkids in four years, so we have been actively engaged and enjoying them!

We took the boat over to the panhandle of Florida and spent several months in 2016, enjoying that area.

Boat is ageing well. Repaired about a dozen gel voids last year and replaced running rigging, reworked clutches, changed out hoses, water heater, and other normally expected wear items. Added Garhauer jib sheet control blocks that makes messing around with the jib much more convenient. Hardly ever use the Gennaker.

How is Mijoy?

Sam

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
