Hello Kalena,
our marina is located on the Ottawa River, however, since we have a trailer sailor and we're close to the great lakes we can tow the boat around. Lake Nippissing, which lies east of Lake Huron is also do-able as are the smaller lakes in our area.. too many to mention.
Those waters can 't compare to Desolation Sound but the waters are warm during summer and there's a lot of swimming and snorkling to enoyed.
Fair winds, post some pictures !!

Hello Kalena,
welcome to sea knots.
I hope you enjoy this site as much as I do, being somewhat new here myself.
Sailing a little CS22 near Ottawa, Ontario, and the surrounding bodies of water.

"Auto ascending setup is an interesting idea, though it takes a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Once it's dialed in, it actually works quite well."

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
