There is a NEW RI House Bill (H5847) introduced by Reps. Slater, O'Brien, Carnevale, Trillo, and Palangio that specifies people may only use a mooring for three years. Here are some quotes from the bill,
"No mooring shall be awarded to any one person for a period exceeding three (3) years."

Just a thought here. I'm a firm believer in safety in numbers. I'm going to anchor in Point Judith Harbor of Refuge that Thursday night and make the run to Greenport in the morning. You're going to go right by me. Do you know what day or time? Perhaps we could meet up and make the run together. I also have a 25 so our speed should be pretty close.
If not ... see you all there.
Just checking in to see if you're still interested in coming to the O'day rOnDAYvous in Greenport this July. I hope so! For what it's worth, I make it out to be roughly 80 miles from New Bedford to Greenport -- a two-day hop, if you plan it out carefully, and certainly shorter than the distance I and others will travel from points west. In any case, why not send me your email address (to pooby_99 at yahoo dot com) so I can add you to the mailing list for our monthly e-newsletter. Hope to see you in July. Till then, have a good sailing season.
Quick question: How far would you be willing or able to sail your O-25 for an owners' rOnDAYvous? I ask because this year the big get-together is likely to be taking place somewhere out in your neck o' the woods (more or less). Among the destinations under consideration are the New London/Mystic area, the North Fork of Long Island or Shelter Island. Any one of those would probably be closer to you than to me, so why not consider making the trip (once we decide on where)?
