Homeport:

About Me:
Recently bought my 1968 Cal 34 "Skylark" and have been refitting her for extended cruising on the east coast. Have sailed a lot over the years on the Chesapeake bay, but now live in Asheville, NC. My plan is to sail Skylark down to Jacksonville Florida where I will live on her a few weeks a month. I have started a blog detailing all of the prep for the trip. Update...Skylark is now home in Jacksonville.
Current location:
Jacksonville, FL
Destinations visited:
Pamlico River and Sound. Lower and Mid Chesapeake with my first boat. East coast from Washington, NC to Charleston, SC, including Morehead City, NC, Oak Island and Southport, NC and Charleston, SC.
Looking to:
Eventually sail off into the sunset...

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
