Why Thank you Gianni, yes I know of my resources here. Sail Club,gives lessons, and trips, and several kind folks in my Marina offer. I just need to good some other loose ends tied up..I put a lot of $ into repairs and upgrades after I got the boat, my mother died, and i have a belated Memorial for her now in Mn. I also retired...a lot at one time...I'm taking the sailing part slowly. I have been on other sailboats and did some work on them....not much though..... Thanks again.

Doing some maintenance on my B43 Quick Antares windlass this year. After removing the windlass, I knew instantly that I should have been doing this at least ever other year. The windlass was preforming weak and slow with a noise which made me think the motor brushes or a bearing was going out, thus the reason for removing it.What I found upon removal was a tremendous amount of salt and sand on the top part of the gearbox, literally packed in.
