On the Waterside is a web site I just created, to chonicle a voyage around my home, Long Island off of New York City. As a retired high school English and Film teacher, I felt it was time I learned about my home waters, the East End, the Hamptons and Montauk. Daily I will post blogs, weekly there will be video of my adventures, monthly I will explore the mansions, harbors, islands and bays that dot the Great South Bay, the peconic, the Sound and the Atlantic.
Current location:
Center Moriches, NY
Destinations visited:
Annapolis, MD
NYC
NJ
Montauk
Three Mile Harbor
Block Island
Looking to:
Spend a year or so exploring the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States and making a career recording the beauty of our shoreline and our island, from the waterside, in. www.onthewatersideny.com
I just went onto your site and read your latest blog. Pretty true to life. I laughed when I got to the part when you compared the Great South Bay to the LIE! I have been stuck in that traffic one too many times. (LIE). So much so that when we go out to LI to visit my family, we go by boat now.
