The first day we went out with the cat the waves weren't 6 foot, but with the wind from the north, they were big. It certainly is noisy when they hit that bridge deck.

Phil and I went sailing last Friday too - wasn't it wonderful! We were lazy and had our #2 head sail out and was going along 5+ knots. Great first sail for the season! Let me know how you like the catamaran when there's 6 ft waves on the lake.

We sailed on Friday and I think I'm going to love this catamaran. The wind was 15-20 knots with the usual occasional gust. We had about 2/3rds of our genoa out and were flying along. We never even put up the main. No heeling, my drink never fell over! I like flat sailing!

Lake Erie has 2,900 cubic MILES of fresh water LOL. Fresh water isn't a problem. Finding a woman that actually wants to sit across from a man with white bearded stubble, no shirt, and man boobs is another question. I may have to import one from Russia, or China.

It appears all the good ones are taken.

Oh the pressure - the pressure to live up to that fantasy on a sailboat - So to get all the peach and cream and exotic smell - you have a lot of water? :0) Good luck in finding your fantasy!! LOL

Lorraine, "does acceptable crew mean the female variety? :)"
Geez, am I THAT transparent? {:o)

Well, I have a choice of morning coffee across from a man with a white stubble beard, no shirt, and man boobs, or a woman with a pleasant smile, and smelling of apple/peach shampoo, skin lotion, and all that other exotic stuff women put on. LOL!

Well if anybody does go to Presque Isle or Geneva - you should stop by to say hi! Grand River Yacht Club has a guest dock for $30/night - and more docks may be available if someone are out racing at the regattas or on vacation. It would be great to meet. We're at dock 20N.

I've heard great things about Gemini on L&A. Never thought I'd see one on Lake Erie. Hope we all manage a rendezvous this summer so I can see it. You dock in Huron? I'm going to a pig roast in Huron on Jun 5th. Are you close to the muni marina?
