Curious just in case i'm ready for another big adventure. They don't seem to come up very often on Cg.list. Are they brand specific? or keel specific??? not a clue on this one. thanks, Terri

Well, I see you got your bimini top which it was a challenge some time ago. Now you are presented with another challenge and that is finding a trailer. If not on cg.list, drive around some boat yards and you may find one. You need to make sure the trailer is rated for the weight of the boat plus more. The horizontal bars have to be high enough for the keel and make sure there are enough strapping points (which you can add later).

Cheers,

Manolo
How about under a Catalina 25? Seriously, If you can find someone who has one, take photos, measurements , etc. A competent welder could modify any appropriate trailer to fit your boat. The trick is to get one in the right size range and talk to whoever would be doing the modifications to make sure that you are on the right track. Talk to boatyards, marinas and trailer dealers in addition to working all of the usual advertising sites. Good Luck!

"Auto ascending setup is an interesting idea, though it takes a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Once it's dialed in, it actually works quite well."

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
