http://edition.cnn.com/CNNI/Programs/main.sail/    Monthly show on sailing.  If interested should check you local CNN Scheduling.  They ran an old ad today saying it would be on today.

My schedule shows CNN will be showing something about Tiger Wood's libido instead. Sheesh!!

Don't you hate that television rarely shows sailing events? I'm sure there are more sailors than there are rodeo riders, but the "sports" channels sure spent a lot of time showing bull riding! Bull indeed!!
Yeah, I went to their schedule page and not listed. I'm thinking the ad just ran today and shouldn't have on CNN. Enuf with Tiger and his Libido..maybe he should have taken up sailing, needs to be on a boat out in the middle of nowhere. :-) Did u peruse the Mainsail page at all? Some interesting stuff.
Thanks for another interesting link, Terri. Even though I live too far off the beaten path for cable and probably will not be able to pick up the CNN programing over-the-air, at least they offer a nice synopsis of their stories, so I can enjoy reading the articles. I'm always hungry for more sailing news.
Your welcome Milt. Here's another link Chris Karo turned me onto.. http://www.nauticaltalk.com/html/listen.asp If you hit "Listen" you can hear live stream broadcast on Sundays 11am eastern time. There also is a list of past shows you can listen to. Enjoy
For sailing action via the internet, try www.t2p.tv on the web. They have a lot of programming there that you can watch on the computer. It's mostly racing related, but they also have interviews and other special programs. www.sail.tv is another site with more of the same kind of thing.

I wish someone would come up with something like "This Old Boat", or "The Shade Tree Sailor" for us cash-strapped types. Seems most of the programming is either historical in nature or aimed toward the elite events that I'll never have a chance to actually join in. I think there are enough sailors in this country to support such programming, and if we all got together and told the networks they might throw us a bone. What do you think? Is a letter writing/email campaign in order?
Thanks for the sites. A email campaign might be in order. With all the hundreds of channels on tv and web space you'd think there would be something for the average sailor/boat owner.
