Lordy is right! The more I read the more i'll be sailing (if i ever get out of the slip..lol) Twizzled in Greenwich Bay with'in the site of land with a SeaTow escort! I ain't got no lightening protection! Twizzled the hurt'n Sailorette
Add a cheap GPS and small medical kit. Don't forget to keep your life raft "patch kit" either in your life raft or your ditch bag. Store your foul weather gear and Type I life vests next to the bag - although if you are close to ditching, you'll probably have both on.
all was in close proximity---we also needed to add dry foodz for kat--lol--is a specific need for this kat only --never had to make kit before-always had smooth sailing--is something for deep thought , tho , for everyone who sails.....has been spoken before but is always good to reinforce--i had double bags --ziplock--on all important papers and electroinix and ready to fetch lifejackets and such from right next to bag....2 gal of drinking water in small bottles--and kats drinking bottle in easy reach.....he on leash whenever we sail --as if on tether....easy to grab......but donot forget the dark chocolate---medicasl kit is important---need to have items for suturing and antibiotix if needed--and the basics for any small stuff--and insect repellant that works lol.....especially in gulf and sea of cortez.......
Ye show Bubba to one more bag and he may divorce ye!
Hey, you had poor Bubba in the ditch bag??? Poor Poor Bubba.
That's where I'd prefer to be...with the dark chocolate...I'm no fool! :-)
Heck , in situations like this, of course, one must have the chocolate. :-)
As I was 'stuffing' the boat for summer sailing last summer, I was thinking of having a ditch bag packed and put in an easy to reach location . Still didn't get this job done.
All the things mentioned are 'must have's ' for this bag. I'd pack some granola bars for those days on deserted islands. :-)
