cushion / uholstery damage

On our 2008 vintage boat all of the bottom seat cushions in the main cabin have started to flake off and showing severe wear. The material is Duratouch cashmere color (feaux leather) and supposedly gas  five year warranty. Anyone else experiencing early failure of this material?

Sam, I have similar material on 2009 / 10 boat.

My bottom cushions need light cleaning. Looking closely at the material as I've tried various cleaning methods has made me very concerned about the robustness of the material.

I did run my hand over the backrest tops the other night and felt them to be dusty - perhaps "flakey" as per your description.

If your are failing at 4 years then I think mine are perhaps showing early signs of the same problem.
