Congrats, AJL!
I know the feeling of waiting and looking forward to March!
Ours is a 2008 US built 43. Not sure about the differences but I recommend a visit to the factory.
Here's a link to the pics we took when ours was being built:

It was very interesting to see the deck separate from the hull and meet the team that's working on it, ask all the questions directly, etc.
Really recommend it!

AJL, a couple of years ago Beneteau changed their US production line over so they can handle any model boat on the same line. So a 40 could be built behind a 31 and then followed by a 50, etc. The change over was intended to make the line more productive with fewer errors. While I do not have any data the last few models I've had experience with (we help move boats to and from the Annapolis show every year) seemed to have few if any issues. One was a 40 and the other a 50 and both sailed very nice and quite similiar to our 43 which is a good thing. Both boats had minor issues, but all new boats do, and the tech guys quickly had them fixed. Congratulations on the 40, she's a great sailing boat which I'm sure you'll enjoy. BTW where will you keep and sail her?

Congratulation ... the B40 is sailing really fine.
Did you choose 2 or 3 cabines?
so you have the same boat as we have ...
In 2 Weecks i am pollishing our blue hull for the first time after delivering ( summer 2009 ).
I'll report ...
Welcome to
