The FREEDOMS are spose to be easy to sail...you can see the simple rigging..also know for their carbon fiber masts.No I don't dive, but would like to try it.

Yes have most of the bells and whistles but you're right, no aircon - not really hot enough down here to warrant unless I head further north (Fiji etc).
I sail around New Zealand, these days up north around the Hauraki Gulf which is world class sailing. Been at it a few years now and had a number of boats progressed from trailer sailors through to this one now.
