If the weather predictors are to be believed, in 2 days time, Touristtown will be getting 72 degree weather. This after a really hot 2 weeks. Hot even for us.

I guess we will all be getting our parkas out of storage...no, really. We JUST don't like cold weather. In fact, we HATE it. And cold to us is below 75 degrees. LOL This is why I will probably always sail in the south, especially because Florida is the BEST SAILING STATE IN THE US!!!

Got the Sea Owl out in the ICW 2 weeks ago. What a REALLY cool first sail!! Hans and Sue went along to help educate the hubby and myself.

Having 4 feet more (going from a 23 footer to a 27 footer) along with a fixed keel (versus old retractable keel) makes sailing the Sea Owl somewhat different than the Endless Wind, of course. While both are Watkins sailboats, and very forgiving, the difference between wheel steering and a tiller takes a bit of practice but we are getting it! Saw a lot of dolphins in the waterway itself, and saw a manatee in the marina (where they come in a lot to eat vegetation off the bottom)

Going out on Sunday and hoping for good weather. Predictions are that it will be, but cooler. As I said, parka weather! :)

Hope everyone is staying safe and dry. The tropics are quiet
