About Me:
I first learned to sail in an 18 foot Old Town canoe. Crewed on a lightning in the finger lakes, in the 60's.

My late wife and I, and a neighbor couple, did a bare boat charter in the Virgin Islands for two weeks during the 90's. She developed a love of sailing and we set our minds to buy a boat. However, she insisted that we funnel our resources to more practical things. A sailboat was a second priority in her mind. When the time came to buy a boat, her health failed and she passed away.

After I settled her medical expenses I began my search. I found a Morgan 28 and christened her "Nareszcie". It is Polish and roughly translates to "At Last!"

I answer to "John"

"Auto ascending setup is an interesting idea, though it takes a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Once it's dialed in, it actually works quite well."

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
