Strong finish this season with my 10 and 12 year old girls. I told them that they had to draw on everything that they'd learned in "all their years at sea" and sail from Deer Harbor to Friday Harbor, WA - I would be on board just to watch.

"Whaaaat?? We can't - "

"You've done everything, at one point or another," I said reassuringly. "Now you just have to put it all together in the right order."

The oldest was surprised how quickly the outboard pull started. They… Continue

Hi Neighbor! I just returned from cruising up in Desolation Sound for 2 weeks with a friend. Wish we had water that warm! Lopez is a tiny Island but I'm always surprised at how many people I still have not met after living here for over a year. ~ Nice work!

Beautiful photos and logo work- you have a real eye! Your photos belong in high end publications, your talents are amazing. Do you have an outlet for your skills? How in the world do you get such shots? I'm a full time cruiser and I don't come across such things that you've photographed, but maybe I just didn't see what was already there!

John, The gulets were in full color for a gulet regatta in Turkey. I love your graphics! If I ever get a boat of my own I would name her Lady Godiva. I bet you could come up with something interesting for that name!

I have sailed in many places around the world but I have always wanted to sail the San Juans. Its still on my list. What do you sail?

"I had to replace my sheeve on both sides and really struggled to get the bolts out. Once I had them out, each was bent thus the challenge. I ended up stripping one or two of the hex bolts and used an angle grinder to square off the head of the bolt…"

B43 Traveller

The starboard side of my Traveller is starting to lift up. I am guessing to remove the center 5mm Allen bolt that goes through the middle of the sheeves, although I cannot get it to budge, to access it. Does anyone have any experience with this??Thanks Dave B43 Shore's AdriftSee More
